Behavior Bear is one of nine animal characters that children relate to. Miss Joni shares tips and lessons to teach and reinforce these vital core values to help children understand, engage in and internalize what they mean. This builds a firm foundation which is our mission.
Good behavior is important on a school bus, in a car, on a train, boat or plane! Carry your good behavior everywhere!
In reality, good behavior makes travel smoother and more enjoyable for both the traveler and those around them. Talking about and reinforcing good behaviors when traveling is critical for a few reasons:
Safety first: Following rules, listening to instructions, and behaving responsibly helps prevent accidents and keeps travelers safe in unfamiliar places. For years school buses have stopped before crossing the railroad crossings and children are expected to be still and quiet.
Behavior Bear thinks that good behavior shows respect for fellow travelers helping create a pleasant environment for everyone. Visit our Travel blog here for more tips when traveling.
Behavior Bear thinks that being Polite and considerate often leads to smoother travels and enjoyable memories. When traveling to new places, good behaviors helps to honor local customs and traditions. How we behave reflects not only on ourselves but also on our families, our school and community. Your child will leave a good impression wherever they go with their good behavior and make you proud!
Characters of Character HOPES that you encourage your children to be of good character. Visit our blog post for a print out of a Certificate of Achievement for all nine of the characters to use with your children, coworkers, family and friends!
This is a blog on behavior with a coloring activity. This is a blog post on more good behavior ideas, plus a pattern to make a paper bag puppet of Behavior Bear! We made one recently with a group of students at an elementary school and they loved it! Bringing in creative ideas to teach these vital core values is more engaging and empowering to children than just saying to them, BEHAVE.
We hope you share our organization with others and the important character traits we share. Each character has their own page on our website if you are looking for one particular trait to focus on. And, as always, please feel free to connect with us on social media, we love making new friends and teaching at new locations! After all, Together is better.
