“November~ Full of Kindness, Thanks and Gratitude”

“Gratitude is Attitude”blog

November comes but once a year and it seems most of us focus on what we are grateful for. Teaching gratitude is a task worth embarking upon because it brings out the best in all of us! What are you grateful for? blog

Let’s Welcome November! blog I have always been a fan of writing things down, of being very mindful of others and choosing to be grateful, for all things! blog

Manners Monkey has a fun activity to do with your children or students here.

November 15th is World Kindness Day. Warm-Hearted Walrus has some activities to engage your children or students in with a coloring and activity book. Please, talk about kindness, model kindness and let’s make the world full of kindness. Together we will make a difference!

KINDNESS is one of the easiest things one can share, it’s free, it makes an impact and spreads joy!! Miss Joni

Warm-Hearted Walrus is important to teach children kindness because kindness helps children build positive relationships, develop empathy, and create a caring community around them. When children learn from Warm-Hearted Walrus, they understand that small acts of kindness, like sharing, helping others, or offering kind words which make a big difference in the lives of those around them.

Kindness also teaches children to:

  • Recognize others’ feelings: They become more aware of how their words and actions affect people.

  • Build confidence and self-worth: Helping others makes children feel proud and capable.

  • Reduce bullying and conflict: Kind behavior promotes cooperation and understanding instead of meanness or exclusion.

  • Spread positivity: A kind act can inspire others to be kind too, creating a ripple effect in classrooms and communities.

By learning from Warm-Hearted Walrus, children discover that kindness is a superpower that can make the world and themselves better every day!

Characters of Character recently had the pleasure to meet Principal Jill and Admin. Junita at Bransford Early Learning to donate an abundance of character development resources for their students. They were overwhelmed with gratitude and we were filled with joy to bring them the many tools to teach good character. They shared that that week they were focused on building friendships and learning about friends. So, Friendship Frog sent over a pattern to make some paper bag puppets and allow the children to build fine motor skills, communication skills and be creative to make a paper bag puppet of Friendship Frog! We are grateful for the opportunity to pour into this community!

TELL me and I forget, TEACH me and I remember, INVOLVE me and I learn. Benjamin Franklin and Miss Joni’s favorite quote!
