Learning Perseverance with Do’er Duck and Miss Joni

Pushing through and Perseverance go hand in hand and I am so proud of you knowing that YOU CAN!

Hi, I'm Do’er Duck, just one of the nine Characters of Character. Never Give Up is my thing, and I know that you can do most anything when you just try!

Do’er Duck models determination in action…

Do’er Duck doesn’t give up when things get tough. Do’er Duck says keeps trying, even when a challenge seems too big. When children see Do’er Duck keep “doing” and practicing, trying again, and staying patient, they learn that perseverance means sticking with something until you succeed.

Do’er Duck teaches that mistakes are part of learning…

Do’er Duck might stumble, make a mess, or fail the first time, but learns from mistakes. This shows kids that making errors isn’t bad; it’s how we grow stronger and smarter. Perseverance is about learning from setbacks, not avoiding them. Plus this helps to build better coping skills.

Do’er Duck connects effort to success…

Do’er Duck helps kids understand that success doesn’t come from talent alone, it comes from effort. When children see Do’er Duck practice, work hard, and improve, they realize their own effort makes a difference too. Emotional resilience is a big part of perseverance, believing in yourself and keeping hope alive with a Can Do Attitude!

Do’er Duck inspires confidence through doing…

We all know the ol’ cliche’ “If you don’t ask the answer is always no” and I believe the same is true in persevering, if we don’t try, we’ll never know. By showing that doing something, even imperfectly, is better than doing nothing at all, Do’er Duck empowers kids to take the first step. This action-oriented mindset builds perseverance, confidence, and problem solving skills.

It’s human nature to give up when tasks seem difficult, but in the eyes of Do’er Duck, one must never give up! If you give up you’ll never know how capable you are of accomplishments! It’s a good feeling knowing you CAN DO IT! Allow your child to try new things and to fail, and encourage them to try it agian, sometimes it’s the next ‘give it your all’ that gets things done!
