Basic thoughts to teaching character to your kids:
Be a role model, they are watching you
Communicate with your children so you are both on the same understanding of what is expected of your child.
Display plenty of visuals and provide activities for your children to engage, both are helpful.
Listen to your child, they have big emotions and need to be heard.
When talking with your child, use a calm voice, don’t explain, discuss or preach when you are not in a good space yourself. They feel it.'
Keeping an open heart and an open door builds trust in your relationships and builds lasting friendships, too.
