"I Am Affirmations"

This past May, I was lucky enough to go on an adventure with my girlfriend. We drove down to Louisiana in her blue Smart Car to an Art Retreat! Here we made journals, had wonderful conversations, lots of good food and plenty of laughter, not to mention new friendships. Here is where I first learned or became aware of the term, "I Am". Think about these two little words for what you say after them you will become. I became so infatuated with this term that I dedicated an entire journal to write in each day with these very words, "I Am". It puts me in a great mindset, keeps me grounded and fills my soul with gratitude. I had a girlfriend who was struggling through the days and so I suggested this little lesson to her. It didn't take her very long before she reached out to thank me. The fact is that we all have use these words, we all have said these words and we all are able to bring awareness to these two little words. "I AM"

In my opinion, when we stop to truly become aware of a thing, a person, a place and even a statement we become more empowered by the presence, the meaning, the feeling and absolute surrounding that it can and will encompass around us. Characters of Character New "I Am!" Affirmation Coloring Book is a great activity to do with your children and to remind yourself just how ______________you are! Available on Amazon.

Our 'I Am' Series can be used to share with your children, incorporated in your classroom, and even used within your community.  The intention of our 'I Am' Behavior Bear Series is to encourage positive behavior traits.  Let's take a moment to talk about affirmations -- I know, a lot of people will roll their eyes when they read about affirmations, and if you're one of the eye-rolling folks reading this please stay open-minded and keep reading.

The purpose of an affirmation is to re-wire your brain to believe what you're repeating.  If you constantly have negative thoughts, chances are you're leading a negative life.  If you're constantly seeing the silver lining in your situation, no matter what it may be, you're probably a very happy person.  Visit us online to learn more about these resources.

Our 'I Am' affirmations will be focused on our nine character traits.  In this case, Behavior Bear.  The first step in creating a well-behaved environment is to introduce and explain what good behavior actually means.  Once there is an understanding of what is expected of someone in order to be well-behaved, then you start to encourage the positive behavior.
