We are the world, we are the children, we are the examples that they live by, make good choices, behave, be kind, be respectful, persevere, be a friend, be responsible, make healthy choices, have good manners, be proud of who you are. Our youth are watching and listening...be of good character, always, make it who you are, even when nobody else is watching. For those of you who know me, you know this to be true. If I could take in every child to bring them peace and understanding, it's really what I'd do. As I watch the television, listen to the news, feel the divide in our world today, much like you, it sickens me. We need to become more aware of our words and actions for they say a lot of who we are and they are what our children learn from. Last year we did fundraising to be able to donate to children in the hospital our Superhero Activity Boxes to keep them occupied with positive messages while they were healing. They brought so much joy to the girls and the boys and the staff were overwhelmed with appreciation for these resources to share with their patients. This information is still on our website and we continue to fundraise and collect donations to continue to donate to the children in the hospitals. They need us and we're happy to provide encouragement. However, with all that is going on in the world today, there is no way to just sit back and watch this, and so, we are again asking for donations and sponsorships so we can donate character building activities to libraries where families go in their own community. I myself am working with a few and will continue to do so providing free resources ahead of time to introduce the character and build excitement of the upcoming activity boxes. This helps families learn about the characters, brings out conversations about the character traits and helps to reinforce these vital core values in our children. We've been making videos and put them on our youtube channel, they are also on our website under Character Corner. with hopes to share with you to engage your own children in character building activities and we're continuing to make more. Simple activities and ideas to reinforce these values in your home. These are made because we believe in you, your children, our children and the future. I'm reaching out to each of you this day to share our information, to donate if you would and together we will make a difference in the life of a child and in the world. Did you know that each character building box is sturdy, colorful and includes an activity box, a canvas with a message to paint, an easel to display the canvas, crayons, watercolor paints, paintbrush, stickers, color poster, character lanyard and a hand written letter from one of the Characters of Character. The larger quantity, the less the cost to us, however on average each box runs $20.00. If another organization, another business or group sponsors these we can get more and more out into the communities. With the uncertainty of schools in the fall and with summer activities limited, I can not emphasize enough how important it is to provide healthy activities for children to engage in. You may say, "I don't have children, or my children are grown, or my child won't get one of these"..........the truth of the matter is, these children are our future, we need to support them, teach them, encourage them, guide them, provide for them so that THE FUTURE is a place for all. As of now Rust-Oleum has donated $500.00 . Below is a breakdown to give you an idea:
If you would like to participate in this year’s event as a sponsor, please contact me. Thank you for your time and consideration. Last week on social media I shared my very first book published years ago, the words are more needed today than ever, You can find them on our blog. Be safe, stay well, and let's make a difference in the life of a child, together. How can you become a part of what our organization:There are a number of ways to become involved:
