This is a page from our book, "Let's Be Kind" starring Warm-Hearted Walrus. How do you teach a child to be kind to oneself, to others and to the world we live in? With Valentines Day coming up, I wanted to share a few ideas to help teach kindness....................... I'm doing this on our basement door at home, I'll add a heart with all three of our adult kids! Ages 38, 34 and 30, you're never to old to be loved, appreciated, acknowledged and adored for who you are. ![]() If you work with a group of children, this is a fun visual! Look who is kind in our classroom! Use stationary to write about this! Available here in our Warm-Hearted Walrus Resource Book. This is a page from our Warm-Hearted Walrus Resoure Book. available here ![]() You can fill this clear baggie with candy of your choice, or how about some Gummy Worms? I'm certain any candy will do so long as you share them with those who also adore you! Using a permanent marker write a child's name on the shovel and use during planting season. Or, make a fun 'mud pudding' using chocolate pudding, follow the recipe on the box, add Cool Whip to lighten it up and look like mud, then crunch some dark colored cookies like Oreo's and mix in the pudding. Add some Gummy Worms for some added fun! I made these hearts with my kids as a Room Parent years ago. We glued them to an open lunch bag, empty cereal box or large grocery bag, then taped them to their desks to collect their valentines.
