WE THANK ALL OF OUR DONORS:

Being in the hospital at any age can be a scary thing, but imagine the chaos of a hospital when you're younger. In 2019, Characters of Character NFP, Inc. saw the need to bring our Characters to children's hospitals in Illinois.
You can purchase the Superhero Activity book on Amazon. Please consider a donation to our organization, too.
We had great success with Self-Esteem Elephant visiting Shriner's Children's Hospital in Chicago to offer a painting class, discuss what being confident means, and even pass out goody bags filled with character building activities! Warm-Hearted Walrus also made an appearance at the Northwest Medicine Huntley Hospital where Joni, founder of Characters of Character NFP, Inc., met with staff and donated 50 Kindness Character Building Activity Kits for the children who visit the hospital. The staff was incredibly appreciative (and kind!), so that was when we knew our Characters were beneficial in the hospital environment.
This year, 2020, we're focusing on donating Superhero Character Building Kits to hospitals within Illinois and Tennessee. In the activity book included, our Characters make appearances in their superhero attire, bring messages of confidence and hope! The contents of the kit also provide an art activity with all supplies provided, positive visual reinforcements, a superhero mask -- all while the child is learning, internalizing, and reinforce positive character attributes.

Confidence Building Affirmation Kits For NE, TN, VT, WY, ID
I am brave. I am strong. I am unstoppable. I am loved. I am me & proud to be!
Whether you call it growth mindset, affirmations, or mindfulness the end goal is the same -- to build a positive self-image. When a child has a positive self-image of themselves they are going to want to continue to feel good about themselves which means they will begin making better decisions at school, at home, and everywhere in between. Having the mindset of seeing everything as an opportunity to learn and grow will also encourage children to develop stronger coping skills.
With a goal of donating 10,000 Confidence Building Affirmation Kits in 2020, we know that our Characters will make a positive influence on the younger generation.
