Characters of Character

Characters of Character has created a complete 9 character trait character education curriculum program for educational facilities.   This program was designed to allow the educator to be in control and is easily implemented into daily lesson plans, or on its own.  It can be used with an entire classroom or on a single student, depending on the educators needs.   Our character education program can be used the same day that it arrives.  There is no costly staff training, contracts, renewal fees, etc. 

The key advantage of Characters of Character is that we teach children all of the main character traits that builds better citizens.  Our program provides support for early childhood and elementary education by offering an effective academic base with strong health, social, and emotional services that help to improve the education and life outcomes of children of all races, creeds, and cultures.  Quality early childhood education is an investment that pays off for years by preparing all children for a lifetime of social and learning behaviors.

As a result, the children’s achievements are much greater in academics, in social well being, and in emotional skill building.  This program allows whole class teaching, whole school teaching, and/or district wide teaching of these character traits.  These traits are then carried by the children at school, at home, and in the community; allowing families and parents to become involved in their child’s good character.

With funding continuing to get cut, especially when it comes to art, it’s more important than ever to learn to stretch a dollar.   Our character education program combines social skills, decision making skills, fine motor skills, reading, and writing while children are learning about one of our nine character traits.  Not only do educators save money with our program, but they are also able to better manage valuable classroom time when incorporating these skills into character trait lessons. 

We understand that a classroom may be filled with all second graders, but they will not all be on the same learning level.  Our character education program focuses on pre-k through late elementary.  This allows the educator, who knows the students learning levels better than anyone, to adjust the activities easily.  We have also found that this comes in handy for social workers who work with different grade and learning levels. 

We offer individual programs (single trait), or you can buy the complete (9 traits) program.  Each trait includes:

• 2 Character standups with stands (approx. 12" tall & approx. 6" tall) to be used as visuals around the classroom
  
• 1 Character pointer (approx. 12" tall) to be used as a visual during lessons
• 1 Colored social story that introduces the Character and trait
• 1 Character handbook (approx. 150 black and white pages of worksheets, stationary, activities, journal prompts, quotes, notices home, positive reinforcements, and suggestions - all of which are reproducible)
• 1 Colored poster book (assortment of approx. 13 cut-out posters and 2 colored certificates)
• 1 Bulletin board idea book (approx. 7-10 bulletin board concept ideas including black and white reproducible patterns and suggestions) 
• 1 Plastic holder allowing for easy storage and access for the educator

The supplies needed in order to use our character education program after purchase are very minimal in order to help continue to save costs.  The educator will need a copy machine, copy paper, writing utensils, and optional art supplies such as glue, crayons, and scissors. 

The cost of an individual character trait program is $350 and the complete 9 trait program is $3,000.  Both prices include shipping costs within the continental US.  Please remember that there are no renewals, hidden fees, or contracts to sign.  Each cost is for single school use only.  Discounts are available for district or multiple school purchases.  Please allow 7-10 days for processing prior to the program shipping and 5-7 business days for shipping.
