Each individual trait will not focus on Characters of Character, but the trait of the Character.  The first one that we've started working on is Behavior Bear.  You can now follow Behavior Bear on Twitter @behaviorbear and become a fan on Facebook by 'liking' the Behavior Bear fanpage.  These pages will only focus on Behavior Bear, and teaching children the importance of good behavior.  You will find free resources for teaching behavior, quotes about behavior, and even coupons made exclusive to those pages for our online store.

]]><![CDATA[Classroom Visits]]>Mon, 28 Feb 2011 16:10:28 -0800http://www.charactersofcharacter.org/1/post/2011/02/classroom-visits.htmlDid you know that our organization is available for classroom visits?  With all of our Characters in costume, you're next even will surely be a hit.  Make internalizing the character traits that we teach fun and engaging for children.  If you're interested in our organization coming to your school, classroom, preschool, daycare, birthday party, or any other event you can think of, please fill out the form here. 

Each standard visit includes:
1 trait focus
1 book (may vary) read by a member of Characters of Character.  The host of the event will receive a copy of the book to keep to read to their students or children as often as they'd like
1 discussion about the trait
1 art project per student (supplies will all be provided by our organization)
1 free colored postcard of the Character per student
1 free black and white mini activity book of the Character per student
The Character will appear in costume the day of the event for children to meet

PLUS the day of the event the Character will take a classroom portrait with the students and teacher.  Approximately two weeks after the event the photo along with a letter from the Character talking about what a pleasure it was to meet the class, will be mailed to the teacher to share with his or her classroom. 

Standard pricing is for a class of 15.  We have a limit of 25 students per event, unless additional help is available.  Discounts are available if you refer another classroom visit or book more then a single visit.  Contact us now for more information.

From now until the end of January, Characters of Character is offering one FREE classroom visit with the purchase of a complete character education program.

This free offer is available for anyone located in the 48 continental United States.  Simply enter the code VISIT2011 when checking out at our online store, or mention the code when you contact us for your purchase.

You choose which Character you'd like to appear in costume.  A social story will be read by a member of Characters of Character, and children will be allowed to meet the Character in person!  This includes one school visit OR up to 5 classroom visits (each classroom will have the same social story read and the same Character will appear in costume) in a single day for the facility using the complete character education program. 

Offer valid until January 31, 2011.  You will have one year to redeem the school visit.  We will work with your school to schedule the best time for our organization to visit.  Visit only includes the Character to appear in costume, discussion of the character trait, and a reading of a social story about the Character.  Other services available, but not included.  Complete program is all nine Characters.  Not valid with any other offers or coupons.
