Characters of Character

Characters of Character is working on a new website.  We're going to be putting up letters of support, artwork from children who use Characters of Character, quotes about our program, free worksheets and more!

On May 3rd we're going to launch our new weekly 'Character Corner'.  Every 9 weeks we will alternate characters to focus on and on the 10th week we will have projects on character in general.  You will be able to find the free worksheets I mentioned above, information about our characters and simple activities for your classroom.  Our first character will be 'Warm-Hearted Walrus' and we will be focusing on teaching kindness.

Please remember that we can't continue to providing you with activities without your help.  Every penny helps keep Characters of Character running and current.  At this point in time no one receives any sort of salary for our work with Characters of Character.  All donations go into our goals and being able to continue donating our time and materials to communities in the US.  If you can't afford to donate from your own pocket please, please check out our Squidoo pages.  Each time someone visits our lenses we receive a very small donation, but small donations add up.  Also, you can use goodsearch.com for Characters of Character.  Each time you search the internet using goodsearch.com we receive one penny.

The instructions are simple:
1) Go to www.goodsearch.com
2) Enter Characters of Character under 'charity' and his verify
3) Let the page reload and enter your search first.
That's it!  You've just help us earn one penny.

Characters of Character number one focus right now (since we're waiting to hear back on a grant to open our first facility..keep your fingers crossed for us please!) is to get a reliable vehicle that we can travel in.  In order to visit out of state (even Southern Illinois is  a big stretch for us right now) we need a reliable vehicle and trailer (if the vehicle isn't big enough for our characters in costume to join the travels).  We're brainstorming to come up with ways to fund this vehicle purchase.  One of the easiest ways for us to raise a few small funds is through our Squidoo pages.

You do not need to do anything but click the links.  It's simply.  You view our lenses, we earn a very small royalty.  If you're feeling extra spunky you can click on a few ads.
That's it.

Not a single penny goes into anyone's pocket.  At this time Characters of Character volunteers/board members receive absolutely no salary.  Every penny from our Squidoo lenses go straight into a fund for a vehicle (and facility).

We won't be able to achieve our goals without your help.  So please take  a few minutes to click some of the following lenses & ask your friends & family to help as well.
